The next scheduled SKAA (Southern Kentucky Airsoft Association) game day is scheduled for Saturday November 1st , at the Tompkinsville, Kentucky field.
Info below:
Where: OpForce Tompkinsville Field (also known as "The Farm" ) 521 Red Hill Beech Grove Rd, Tompkinsville, KY
When: 9:00 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday November 1st (Be there BEFORE 9:00 if possible if you need the time to gear up, we would like to start the first game at 9:30, so come already geared up and ready to go, batteries charged, mags loaded, etc....)
What: Informal game, but structured with missions. SKAA games are "bring a noob" day as usual, a good time to bring those folks that have been wanting to try airsoft if you like. Just make sure you or one of us have equipment they
can borrow for the day. Please bring a red shop rag (death rag, see rules in SKAA Charter) if you have it (we may have some extras if you do not) and a woodland camo shirt (if you have it) and also either a solid color
shirt/jacket (such as black, blue, or green) or some other color camo shirt/jacket (like tiger stripe, digital, desert, British, etc...). We like to define teams by one team wearing woodland camo and the other wearing any other camo except woodland or instead a solid color (black or green) shirt. FOR ALL THAT HAVE MORE THAN ONE KIND OF CAMO...please bring at least the shirt/top of all that you have. You may be asked to wear a different kind of camo shirt in order for teams to be selected, so bring what you have. It doesn't matter what pants you wear. Every effort will be made to keep those together that come together and want to play on the same side, however experienced players will be divided up as needed to even out the sides in cased where many new players are present. (no lopsided "experienced against noobs" games)
Those of you who are used to playing with red "Death or Dead" rags and already have one, please bring it with you to use. We MAY have a few extras on hand for anyone that might forget and will explain their use before the game. We will also be using a "Medic" rule which will be explained as well. We may have some people playing for the first time, so you experienced players be sure to help the new ones and make sure they have a good time. Very important, please email and let us know if you do plan to come so I will have a fairly accurate headcount of how many players we will have. ALSO, very important...as this time of year weather is very unpredictable, it is possible that the game could be postponed or cancelled if weather is not decent enough. In any case, notice will be give if such occurs at least by Thursday night of that week.
Remember, if you are bringing someone new to airsoft that has no equipment, make sure they have equipment to use (your back up AEG, or one you have talked with someone about using beforehand). If any of you have extra gear (vests, mags, goggles, etc....) you don't mind one of the new folks using, please bring it along as well. We will have a signs alont the route. The parking area will be marked with signs as well and with Pink marker tape, you can call Barry (cell phone at 270-404-3266 ). Any questions, ask them now....
A SKAA Tompkinsville Field Waiver MUST be filled out and brought or filled out on site for individual players and/or spectators for any SKAA event to be kept on file. Please read the waiver carefully and fill it out completely before attending or playing.
Minors (under 1 must have waiver signed by a Parent or Guardian, under 14 must have Parent, Guardian, or responsible adult on site with them in order to participate (one adult may bring and be responsible for multiple minors however). Blank waivers will be on site as well. Common rules and gameday instructions can be found in the SKAA Charter (can be found on the SKAA website, link below). If you have any questions or need more info, please feel free to email us any time.
A map of the playing field (which you should print out and bring with you), a schedule for the day, a safety briefing, SKAA Charter and Ruleset, etc...can be emailed to you before the game if requested, just drop us an email. Any other questions of info needed, just email me. Looking forward to seeing any of you that can make it, should be a lot of fun. Directions to the field are below...
