Team OpForce

Operation Night Scorpion II was an airsoft event held over the weekend of March 9-11, 2007 at Ft. Wolters National Guard Training Area, near Mineral Wells, TX. OPNS II is a part of the Lionclaws Series of airsoft events and featured guest CO's Col. Paul Longgrear, US Army Special Forces (ret.) and MSG Howard "Mad Max" Mullen, US Army Ranger (ret.). Team OpForce attended as 1st Squad, 2nd Platoon, Golf Company under Col. Longgrear's direction.

Members of OpForce attended the U.S. Army 232nd Birthday Celebration held at Ft. McPherson, Georgia on June 14th, 2007. The celebration included a live action "re-enactment interpretation" or simulation of an ambush and POW rescue situation using airsoft equipment and sound effects. Chuck, Carl, Jason, and Jimmie of OpForce participated in the simulation playing the part of Afghani insurgents. Members of Team Strikers from Ohio as well as Team Banana from Georgia also took part in the simulation. The simulation was part of a day long celebration of events, static displays ( US Army Chinook, Apache, and Blackhawk helicopters), and ceremonies marking the US Army's 232nd birthday. OpForce and the other airsoft groups were there on invitation from US Army Ranger MSG (ret.) Howard "Mad Max" Mullen, USAG DPTMS at Fort McPherson.

Operation Hidden Tiger 2007 was a private Vietnam themed airsoft game held by some members of OpForce at the Bad Karma airsoft field near Lebanon, TN in June of 2007. Numbers of participants were kept small and only low, mid, or standard capacity magazines were allowed to enhance the gameplay. Period/era gear and dress was encouraged to also add to the experience.

Operation Northern Wind IV was an airsoft milsim event held at Ft. Pickett, Virginia's MOUT site in August of 2007. Part of the Lionclaws Airsoft Milsim Events Series, Op Northern Wind IV was attend by a full squad of OpForce who participated on the "Freedom Fighters" side. Operation Irene V, a Lionclaws Milsim Airsoft Series event, was held in October of 2007 at the Zussman MOUT site at Ft. Knox, KY. Team OpForce acted as staff and game control and refs/observers, as well as playing various roles throughout the event such as Zussman City Police, Zussmanistan National Army and Militia members, civilians, Insurgents, etc... Bad Karma and The Order acted as an Insurgent group, as well as imbedded game control/refs/observers. Several members of Nashville Airsoft home team, Spartans, as well as local group "Zoo Crew" participated in various roles as well. 350 plus players came from all over the U.S. to participate in this yearly event that commerated and honors the fallen US Soldiers in Somalia 1993 ("Blackhawk Down"). Charlie Company, wearing Desert camo, was led by Col. Danny R. McKnight, US Army Ranger (ret.) who actually took part in the Somalia mission. Delta Company, wearing woodland camo, was led by MSG Howard "Mad Max" Mullen, US Army Ranger (ret.) who served under Col. McKnight's command later and was the lead hand to hand combat instructor for all Rangers.

Operation Hac Bao was a Vietnam themed airsoft event held by the Lionclaws Milsim Airsoft Series near Santa Clarita, CA in November of 2007. The US side was led by retired US Army Special Forces (Green Beret) Col. Paul Longgrear who served in Vietnam and took part in the battle of Lang Vei, and by retired US Army LRRP SGT Kenn Miller, who also served in Vietnam and has authored several books.
